Trees at the Meteor
Welcome to the fourth annual Trees at the Meteor! Hamilton has a big Christmas Tree in Garden Place. But it comes from China. Santa comes from the North Pole. It's time again to get our hands covered with PVA and glitter, and paper mache, and get some friends and whanau over to make a little Christma s tree 'whoopee' right here, right now. NZ's styles !!! Pacific styles... Under the Southern Cross.
2011 You creatives out there. MAKE IT! You. Yourselfs without the elfs. All we are saying is give trees a chance - And for what better cause? decorate a tree and share it with the city. TREES AT THE METEOR celebrates Christmas different. Why? Because Kiwi-ness is in. King Charity is in. Rejoice as Pinus Radiata meets Pasifika. Create Aotearoa avant gardens. Subvert the tree, decorate a tree. Make art. Make festivity. And help make a festive forest. We want you to give. Decorate a tree for the city. Compassion not consumption.
Make art from the heart. Keep it real and green...... and FYI Any profits helps our dosh recipient environmental agency A Rocha get soiled in the Waikato! CHECK OUT YOU TUBE CLIP OF 2009 TREES AT THE METEOR - enter 'Trees at the Meteor' into you tube.
