Morrinsville Arts Festival Launched!

Wallace Gallery director Charlotte Giblin has announced that a new Arts Festival is being created in Morrinsville, with an exciting programme of events already being lined up. Every day during the festival there will be a different programme of evening entertainment at the Gallery, including music, theatre, dance and fashion from both amateur and professional groups. The day-times will see “live art” happening through the Gallery, so visitors can see artists at work, and there will be street entertainers and music at the weekend.

Shops and Businesses in Morrinsville can get involved by becoming part of an “Art Trail” through the town so visitors will be encouraged to explore the whole area; each participating shop or business will be assigned a Waikato artist who will donate works for their window display or reception area during the Festival week.
